Description: Perennials; 1-3 dm; leaves linear to linear-oblanceolate, glabrous to moderately hairy, strongly gland-dotted, basal and cauline, 5-19 cm long: involucre 8-12 mm high, the bracts sparsely to densely hairy and gland-dotted; disk ?owers 3-4.5 mm long; ray ?owers 10-20 mm long. Common in dry, open places. Often with sagebrush or pinyon-juniper, 4900-9500 ft.
