  • Description: Perennials, 2-10 (15) dm; leaflets 8-12, oblanceolate, glabrate above; inflorescence with numerous flowers, 0.5-2 dm long; calyx 4-7 mm long, villous, glandular; flowers blue to violet, bicolored or pale, with a white-eyed banner; legumes 2.5-4 X 0.7 cm, pilose. Common in dry places, often with sagebrush, 6000-10,000 ft. May-July.
