- Description: Perennials 0.7-5 (8) dm; stems usually glandular above with yellow-tipped glands, sometimes eglandular throughout; leaves palmately 3-5-parted, 1.7-7 (8) cm wide; pedicels 1.3-4 (5) cm long; sepals 5.5-9 (11) mm long with an awn tip 0.2-1.2 (2) mm long; petals (8) 10-17 mm long, usually pink or purple; stylar column 22-30 (40) mm long with a beak 2.5-5.5 mm long. Common on dry slopes, in meadows, and in open forests, 5200-12,500 ft. May-Aug.
