- Description: Plants mat-like or cushion-forming; leaves linear, inflorescence solitary and sessile; calyx 5-7.5 mm long, arachnoid-wooly; corolla lanvendar to pink-purple or white, the tube 4-15 mm long and lobes 4-8 mm long; style 2-5 mm long. Common on dry slopes or bluffs, ridgetops, in sagebrush meadows, shortgrass prairie, and sometimes with pinon-juniper, 5200-9300 ft. April-June.
