  • Description: Perennial. Plants 10-40 cm, with stolons; leaves spatulate, 0.5-1.5 mm long, tomentose; heads 3-10, in a corymbose array; involucre 4-8 mm high, the bracts brown or brownish-green at the base and white above. Common on open slopes and in forest openings, along streambanks, and in sagebrush meadows, 6000-11500 ft.
