Common in meadows, grasslands, along streams, found from high plains to upper montane meadows and forests, 5000-10500 ft.
Similar to Astragalus adsurgens var. robustior except A. agrestis is sparsely pubescent with basifixed hairs and flowers usually in a tightly clustered, spherical head.
